“This isn’t about electing; it’s about protecting.”
The 2020 presidential election may be in full swing, but the Second Amendment Foundation is reminding America that the Right to Keep and Bear Arms applies to everyone regardless of our political leanings on other topics…and that the Second Amendment is under attack. That’s why they’re launching a new TV campaign promoting its “Second Amendment First Responder” program.
“This isn’t about electing, it’s about protecting,” observed SAF’s founder Alan Gottlieb. “Mounting this television advertising campaign is the most effective way to reach millions of citizens quickly, especially the five million citizens who bought guns for the first time this year.”
A counter to violent lawbreakers
“Our ad campaign will appear on Fox News, DISH TV, One America News and Newsmax,” he continued. “Our message is simple and direct. Gun rights need to be protected now more than ever as America is under attack by anarchists who have been undermining public safety by demanding we defund police agencies, and essentially allow a breakdown of law and order.
“We’re offering a counter to violent lawbreakers who have been hiding behind the veil of public protest to riot and loot, destroy public and private property and throw society into chaos,” he added. “There has been no more important time in recent history for law-abiding Americans to step forward and defend their right to keep and bear arms, and that’s what Second Amendment First Responders is really all about. We’re not promoting a candidate or a political party, just a worthy cause.”
From grass roots, freedom grows
It’s easy to participate in the Second Amendment First Responder program, he explained. Simply text “PROTECT 2A” to “474747.” A message will come back immediately from SAF explaining how activists are the front line when it comes to defending the right to keep and bear arms. They increase their activism by becoming “force multipliers” who then recruit additional volunteers to build their own local networks.
“This is grassroots activism at its most basic, boots-on-the-ground level,” Gottlieb said. “The best part about the Second Amendment First Responder program is that it is entirely free.
“In order to defend our rights,” he concluded, “we’ve got to protect the one right that makes it possible. Second Amendment First Responders is the project that puts it all together, and our television advertising campaign brings the message to Americans across the country.”

Geez, whatta negative crowd..
It’s a war on our rights and we cannot win the war by defending trenches.
Left has no power without your consent, so get your sh!t together and stop whining.

Hmmm? I dunno, sounds like it could be a good idea, BUT! Too many ways it could be used against us in the long run. Gun grabbers will sign up to know when and where to be (or not to be) to cause the most damage. A hacker could set some of us up for a false flag event fairly easily. I think I’ll stick with my local (vetted) contacts for info.

It is possible that a lot of people will support this but will not sign up. If something happens it would make it easier for Democrat organized anti American groups to locate them to many breach of security stories around from insurance to banking. I’m a vet and fully support the second amendment but I also don’t expose my self as a possible target .

I agree completely. To be on a list for anti-gun types to use to track me down is a nightmare. I want to step up but it could mean my family’s end or mine. That “Rent-a-Riot crowd doesn’t care who or how they hurt others. Good Luck.

Agree completely. I dropped social media sites as well a few years back. There’s no way of knowing who might be reading the comments. I’ve no problem standing for the 2nd, but the increasing danger from the Loony Left warrant discretion.

If you truly want to reach all American citizens you’ll also need this message on CNN (Clinton news network) and CBS ABC & NBC.
The stations that you list aren’t watched by most liberals.
