Every record verified against official primary sources — state statutes, state police and attorney general pages, and court opinions — and re-verified on a weekly cycle. Use it in journalism, research, apps or reference pages. Attribution required, nothing else.

What’s in it

One record per state plus Washington, D.C.: carry regime (permitless / shall-issue / restrictive), permitless minimum age and whether it covers visitors, constitutional-carry year, permit name and minimum age, which out-of-state permits are honored (with conditions), duty to inform police, key restrictions, unsettled-litigation watch notes, the controlling official source, and a link to the full state guide.
