NSSF Poll: Voters Don’t Want Chipman, Will Remember in November
Pennsylvania senators, sooner or later you’re up for re-election. Remember that, because the voters sure will.
Nearly 6 out of 10 Pennsylvania voters oppose President Joe Biden’s nominee David Chipman to run the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). A survey conducted for the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the firearm industry trade association, showed 58 percent of voters cannot support the gun control lobbyist to run the federal law enforcement bureau.
“This is compelling data Pennsylvania’s senators must consider when the Senate votes on whether to confirm Mr. Chipman to head the ATF,” said Lawrence G. Keane, NSSF Senior Vice President and General Counsel. “Pennsylvanians clearly reject the nomination of David Chipman because they know it is wrong to politicize the ATF. The senators were elected to represent the interests of Pennsylvanians in Washington, D.C. They need to respect the clear wishes of their constituents and vote against this biased and unqualified nominee.”
The more they know about Chipman, the less they like.
The survey of 500 likely General Election voters was conducted June 24-26 and showed that when presented with the facts on Chipman’s false statements of .50-caliber rifles downing helicopters during the raid on the Branch Davidian compound in Waco, Texas, allegations of racially-insensitive remarks toward fellow ATF agents, his intent to shut down firearm retailers and his comments denigrating first-time gun buyers as “preppers” for a “Zombie apocalypse,” support among respondents dropped by more than 10 percent.
The survey also revealed that strong support for Chipman’s confirmation dropped from 23 percent to just 12.6 percent and overall opposition to Chipman’s confirmation rose to 58 percent when likely Pennsylvania voters were presented with the same information.

Therefore, it should surprise no one that any novel governmental attempt at tyranny is doomed to failure in the face of resolute citizen opposition.

Tom Cherry, from Tennessee, The second amendment states that the right to own firearms shall NOT be infringed on . Doesn’t that mean ALL restrictive firearms are unconstitutional ?? Also, that the purpose of ATF is unconstitutional ??
Most Americans own weapons. Wether the weapons are rifles or pistols, we have something known as the second amendment that allows this right. The Supreme Court has confirmed this right. We don’t need a left leaning idiot trying to take that right away from us using a back door. Our founding fathers knew that we might have to defend that right.
A weapon is any item used to commit harm or death upon someone in a criminal attack or used in defense against a criminal attack. This can include a knife, axe, hatchet, screwdriver, tire iron, baseball bat, length of rope or electrical cord, motor vehicle, beer bottle, or any number of other items. Until such time that a rifle, shotgun, or handgun is used in a criminal attack or defense from such, it is simply a firearm. To automatically call firearms “weapons” is highly erroneous.
What most people don’t realize is that ALL Americans own arms of some type. Just look through your kitchen, bathroom, or storage room.

“Nearly 6 out of 10” means something along the lines of 57 out of 100, give or take a couple. It is reduced to the stated “nearly 6 out of 10” to make it easier for folks to understand. Apparently it didn’t work.
This isn’t about what the voters think. This is about absolute power over the voters as well as non voters and the Dems want it all. Consequently the Dems will vote for what the party wants in order to achieve that goal. Individual Senators are expendable and replaceable to that end.
Chipman is a sick psychopath that shouldn’t even be around a weapon, let along be over the ATF that should have been shut down years ago.
