NRA to Host Personal Protection Expo This Sept.
The National Rifle Association has announced that tickets are now on sale for their upcoming Personal Protection Expo, which is scheduled for Sept. 6-8, 2019 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas. If you don’t recognize the name of the Expo, that’s because it was previously known as Carry Guard (and the 2018 event was canceled due to a hurricane).
Unlike the NRA’s Annual Meetings & Exhibits, this event will focus exclusively on issues relating to self- and home-defense. An admission ticket covers all three days of the show, and costs from $10-$30 per person. (If you’re a Life NRA Member, it’s $10; for regular NRA Members, $20; and for the general public, $30.) It’s a unique opportunity to check out over 160 guns and gear exhibitors, as well as 120+ seminars, workshops, and events.
Seminar topics will include Methods of Concealed Carry, How to Interact with Law Enforcement while Carrying, Handgun Fit & Function for Women, Surviving an Armed Robbery, Being Prepared for Home Defense, Drawing from Concealment, and many more. Each is taught and demonstrated by leading experts and instructors from all over the country.
The NRA Personal Protection Expo’s exhibit hall will feature leading firearm and accessory companies showcasing their most advanced guns and gear designed for self-defense and concealed carry, including event sponsors KelTec, Ruger and Shooting Illustrated. The expo will also conduct a live Fashion Show where concealment clothing and gear designed for men and women will be modeled.
